Bracket headerTHE MOST HEROIC AND GREATEST AND MOST AWESOME BEST BRUINS OF THE LAST TEN YEARS

Twitter

The past ten years have been pretty crazy for the Boston Bruins and their fans, filled with twists, turns, and "I can't believe this guy is on an NHL roster" moments. Here are just a few examples:
    • Playoff failures against Montreal
    • ...again
    • Alright, the third time wasn't really a "failure." That was a good series.
    • SUCCESS!
    • "Alex Zhamnov, who with his flaming red hair has earned the nickname Archie..."
    • Mark Mowers
    • Mark Mowers on TV
    • The Dave Lewis Memorial Too Many Men on the Ice Penalty
    • METRO!
    • Hotshot goalies that eventually flame out
    • Sensitive defensemen who get traded
    • Poor Zach Hamill
    • The Legend of Tenkrat
Surely with all of these twists and turns, some players in the past few years have stood out in the crowd. Legends like Paul Mara, Andrew Raycroft, Hannu Toivonen, and Joe Corvo come around but once in a lifetime.
And that's where this tournament comes in.
If you haven't noticed by now (I thought the excess in the title would be a dead giveaway), a lot of this is tongue-in-cheek. No, I don't honestly think Milan Jurcina is one of the greatest Bruins of the past decade. Petr Tenkrat? Now that I believe.
I've assembled a list of 64 of these legends, players that range from ridiculous to actual cult heroes, solid role players to "whoa, I forgot about that guy." They'll do battle in four regions: the Mike Sullivan Region, the Joe Thornton Region, the Mike O'Connell Region,  and the Phil Kessel Region.
The winner will receive the vaunted, legendary, one-of-a-kind Dave Lewis Memorial Trophy.
Voting will be conducted via multiple choice surveys, and the player with the most votes will move on. The losers will be eliminated, cast out to spend all of eternity on the blue line with Jason York. You can vote as many times as you want, but I'm watching you, Bitz ballot stuffers.
